After a decade of civil war, Somalia has been left with a weak government, widespread destruction and few schools. An entire generation has no access to quality schools. And 4 out of every 5 children have no access to any schooling whatsoever.

Concern is increasing access to and quality of schools in Somalia: building schools, training teachers, and enrolling students. Concern works directly with parents, helping communities determine for themselves what community members can afford to pay and how to sustain the schools.

Project Partners
Concern

Concern is a non-denominational, voluntary organization committed to the relief, assistance and advancement of people in need in less developed areas of the world. Concern works with people living in absolute poverty to help achieve lasting improvements in their lives.
