In Northern Ghana, only 35% of girls ever attend primary school because the benefits of educating girls are not widely known. And, due to the high costs of school and supplies, as well as the need to support their families, those girls are dropping out in ever-increasing numbers.

CamFed, working with RAINS, a local organization, is enrolling more girls in school and keeping them in school. To realize these goals, they work to involve communities by heightening awareness and increasing local participation and helping families meet the costs of school.
