About NetAid
NetAid is a non-profit organization that educates, inspires and empowers young people to fight global poverty. Focusing our efforts on the U.S. and other wealthy countries, we're creating a movement of young people who are champions for the world's poor and engaged global citizens.
The Challenge of Global Poverty
Around the world, 1 out of every 6 people lives on less than $1 a day. This kind of extreme poverty robs people of their fundamental human rights, and contributes to the spread of HIV/AIDS, political instability and environmental damage.
For the first time in history, we have the know-how, resources and a plan of action-the Millennium Development Goals-to beat global poverty. But no single country can do it alone; the world needs a partnership for development between people in poor and wealthy countries.
Young people, and particularly young Americans, can play a key role in building this partnership for a better world. But while many young Americans are concerned about the world's poor, most don't know how they can make a difference. That's where NetAid comes into the picture.
