7. What if more than one student applies from my school?
In order to reach the greatest number of schools across the U.S., NetAid can only select one or two Global Citizen Corps Leader per school each year. 9. What is the Global Citizen Corps summer summit?
Each summer, NetAid offers a Global Citizen Corps summit which provides a select group of Global Citizen Corps Leaders with an opportunity for in-person training. This summit gives select Global Citizen Corps Leaders the opportunity to meet experts in the global poverty field and to develop their skills as leaders and peer-educators in efforts to make poverty history.
The summit will also provide an opportunity for Global Citizen Corps Leaders from across the country to network with each other and develop plans for coordinating Global Action Day campaigns in their respective regions. Global Citizen Corps Leaders who participate in the summit are expected to play a leadership role in the Global Citizen Corps throughout the school year as online moderaters and mentors, committed to supporting Global Citizen Corps Leaders who have not attended the summit.
This year's summit will cost only the travel to and from the meeting in New York City. NetAid will provide a travel agency for you to book your travel, and there will be scholarships available for students who need it.
