FAQs
Who can apply?
All students attending a public high school in New York City.
When is the submission deadline?
All submissions must be in by March 1, 2007. This means that if you're uploading through YouTube, they must be uploaded before midnight March 1. If you're physically mailing us a copy, it must be postmarked by March 1.
What's the prize?
The winning team gets to produce a professional version of their video with in-person training from video production experts at Cable Television studios. This video will be featured on both NetAid and Cable Positive's websites and will be screened at different locations in New York City.
The Honorable Mention and People's Choice videos will also be shown on our website and included in NetAid's newsletter, Connections, which reaches our national network of 50,000.
What do I do with the Model Release forms?
Each student who is involved in the production must sign a release form. Anyone under age 18 who speaks on camera or anyone who is actively involved in the production must also have his/her parents sign the parental release at the bottom of the form. The parental release is necessary because the winners' names will be released to the press and their PSA/video will be featured on several websites and may be aired on cable networks.
After the forms are signed, mail them to us at:
