Voices From Pakistan: Education Matters to Me

No one knows the value of an education better than the children who have been given the chance to go to school for the first time.

"Because of education, we get knowledge and become human."

Rehana, age 8
Gul Mohammed Shahani School

The students and teachers you are about to meet come from Pakistan's Sindh Province, where only 12% of women can read and write.  Under normal circumstances, they would never have dreamed of getting an education.

But thanks to the Indus Resource Centre (IRC), a partner of the NetAid World Schoolhouse, girls like Rehana are pursuing a brighter future by attending community-run schools.  Now, as part of the Global Campaign for Education, they are fighting for more, better schools in Pakistan.
