Action Week 2006:
Make Your Case for Education

Think every child should have the chance to go to school? Tell us why and help us build a global case for education.  This year, students, teachers and organizations worldwide in the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) will “make the case for education” during a coordinated action week in April. Join them!

Making your case for education is easy. Here's how:

  1. Download the "Send My Friend to School" poster template and fill it in with your reason that every child is entitled to an education. Or make your own poster from scratch.
  2. Take a digital photograph of yourself holding up your poster.
  3. Email your photograph to us at: sendmyfriend@netaid.org.

NetAid is assembling all of the posters in an online gallery where you can see how people around the world are making the case for education.  We'll present the posters to members of Congress at a national hearing in Washington D.C. during Action Week. In order to make your case heard, you need to send or email your poster to us by April 30.

Compile Your Evidence

This year over 100 million children will not go to school. Without education, they stand little chance of lifting themselves out of poverty.

Video, slideshow, Q & A and fast facts teach you why education is critical to ending the cycle of global poverty.

 VOICES FROM PAKISTAN

Girls in Pakistan and their teachers talk about how going to school has changed their lives, and why other children deserve the same opportunity.
