Abe Koogler
Abe Koogler joined NetAid in 2007 as Event Coordinator. In this role, he oversees planning and logistics for the Poverty Fighting Summit and the Global Action Awards.
Prior to joining NetAid, Abe worked as an editor for an online global affairs journal in Connecticut, a reporter at the Financial Times in London, a communications director for political campaigns in California, and an organic farmer in his hometown of Vashon Island, Washington. As an undergraduate, he co-founded a political action committee that trains low-income students to be grassroots organizers. He's excited to help NetAid empower a new generation of anti-poverty activists.
Abe graduated from Yale University with a BA in Political Philosophy/Political Science. He enjoys traveling and reading the newspaper. He's trying – unsuccessfully so far – to learn how to cook. |
